Partnership working is crucial for empowering individuals and communities towards full participation and in influencing services within their areas.

Playbusters have demonstrated their commitment to this by building and maintaining strong working relationships with partners and communities to improve facilities and services and promote active citizenship.

In looking at issues concerning children it is necessary to work closely at the strategic plans for Glasgow as a whole to ensure that our objectives are clear. In view of this Playbusters is involved with Glasgow East Childcare Strategy Forum. The Projecrt Manager has a place on the Management Committee of the Childcare Strategy Forum and is also on a working group looking at priorities for the East End. Parents from community groups are also represented on this forum.

Views of service users and partners:

"The new 'partnership' arrangement between SPPA and Playbusters has taken play training to families of young children that have not experienced this opportunity before...the whole experience of parents and children playing together contributes to building strong family relationships".
SPPA

"Playbusters provide a link to the community groups which enables the CAT team to consult and communicate with local community groups...the CAT team are represented on Playbusters Steering Group which allows partners to look at up coming issues and priorities faced by local groups ...which allows resources/support to be redirected to address their needs".
CAT Developmant Co-ordinator

"We recognise and appreciate the links that have been formed with Playbusters and acknowledge the valuable work that is carried out by the staff and the project. We hope that this positive partnership continues to flourish and develop, ensuring that our joint efforts are maximised to the benefit of the children and parents/carers".
East End Mobile Play Team

"The Playbusters project has really made an effort to be in touch with local people and to ensure that they have ownership of local physical and service developments in relation to children and young people . It is useful to be able to link with this project and know that local people's views are being directed through them".
